Our Adult Psychiatry Services are designed around the Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) approach — meaning your care is supported by a full team of mental health professionals working together for you.
Psychiatric Assessment
Your journey begins with a Comprehensive Assessment by a Consultant or Specialist Psychiatrist. In this session, the psychiatrist listens carefully to your concerns, reviews your background and symptoms, and helps reach a clear diagnosis and treatment plan that fits your needs. You will also have regular follow-ups every 1 to 3 months to review your progress and adjust your plan as needed.
Individualized Psychotherapy
Based on your plan, your psychiatrist may refer you to one of our specialized therapists for regular psychotherapy sessions. Our team offers evidence-based therapies, including:
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) – to help you change unhelpful thoughts and behaviors
- Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) – for emotion regulation and relationship difficulties
- Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) – for trauma and distressing memories
- Internal Family Systems (IFS) – for deeper emotional healing and self-understanding
We also provide specialized care for Eating Disorders and other complex emotional difficulties.
Team-Based Care
Your case is regularly discussed in MDT meetings, where psychiatrists, psychologists, and therapists collaborate to ensure your care is integrated and effective. Sometimes, you may benefit from working with more than one professional — for example, a psychiatrist for medication and a therapist for psychotherapy — all coordinated under one plan.
