I am Dr. Shaimaa Islam, a dedicated mental health professional committed to delivering compassionate, evidence-based psychological care. I believe that mental health is a deeply personal journey, and I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental, and supportive environment where clients feel heard, valued, and understood.

My clinical approach integrates a range of evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) for trauma treatment. This integrative framework allows me to tailor interventions to each individual’s unique needs, ensuring a personalized and effective therapeutic experience.

I work with clients facing a variety of challenges, including anxiety, depression, emotional dysregulation, and trauma-related difficulties. I place a strong emphasis on helping individuals build self-awareness, develop emotional regulation skills, and cultivate psychological flexibility in order to navigate life’s challenges more effectively.

I view therapy as a collaborative process, where the client is the expert of their own experience. My role is to guide, support, and empower individuals to explore their thoughts and emotions, break unhelpful patterns, and build healthier coping strategies. Through this process, I aim to help clients foster resilience, reconnect with their values, and move toward a more meaningful and balanced life.
