I am a consultant psychiatrist with over 13 years of clinical and academic experience, having graduated with distinction from the Faculty of Medicine, Alexandria University in 2009, before earning my Master’s in Neuropsychiatry with distinction in 2016 and my Doctorate in Psychiatry in 2022 — all from Alexandria University.
My career has spanned both academic medicine and clinical practice: I trained as a resident in the neuropsychiatry department of Alexandria University Hospital, progressed through the academic ranks as demonstrator, assistant lecturer, and lecturer of psychiatry at Alexandria University’s Faculty of Medicine, and have served as a supervisor of psychiatry residents while also being seconded to teach psychiatry and psychology at additional universities.
Alongside my academic roles, I maintain an active clinical presence in two private clinics. My psychotherapeutic expertise is grounded in internationally certified training, having completed intensive programs in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy at the Beck Institute (USA) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy at the Linehan Institute (USA), in addition to specialized training in Motivational Interviewing for substance use disorders.
