*Treatment Philosophy:

My clinical approach is grounded in the biopsychosocial model, which recognises that mental health and illness are shaped by the complex interplay of biological, psychological, and social factors. I believe that effective care cannot be delivered in silos; it requires thoughtful collaboration within a multidisciplinary team (MDT), where psychiatrists, psychotherapists, and other professionals work together to address each dimension of a person’s experience.

Central to my practice is a trauma-informed perspective. I recognise that unresolved trauma — whether developmental, relational, or acute — often underpins a wide range of psychological difficulties. I approach each individual with curiosity, compassion, and a commitment to safety, ensuring that the therapeutic environment is one in which healing is possible.

Treatment is understood as a phased process. Early phases focus on stabilisation, psychoeducation, and building a secure therapeutic alliance. Intermediate phases involve the careful processing of traumatic material using evidence-based modalities such as EMDR, IFS, and somatic approaches. Later phases support integration, reconnection with life, and the consolidation of a more coherent and resilient sense of self.

I hold that people are not defined by their diagnoses. My work aims to restore agency, meaning, and wellbeing — always adapting the treatment frame to the unique needs, culture, and goals of each individual.
